Talbert Edenfield, CFP®, MBA

Talbert’s educational background includes an Executive MBA from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia and a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Adult/Business Education from Georgia Southern University.

Talbert is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner and a Chartered Life Underwriter™. His knowledge base in financial planning includes the completion of the following courses through the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA: Income Taxation, Planning for Retirement Needs, Fundamentals of Estate Planning, Insurance for Financial Planning, Individual Life Insurance, Fundamentals of Investments for Financial Planning, Life Insurance Law, and Planning for Business Owners and Professionals.

Talbert is a life-long resident of Effingham County, and he and his wife Roni Edenfield have lived in Effingham County for 30 years. Talbert began his career as a Special Education Teacher at the elementary school level in 1990. He then moved to teaching high school business classes at Effingham County High School where he was also involved with coaching basketball. Edenfield Financial Services was created in 1999, and he is now a Partner and Co-Owner of Vision Financial Group of Georgia. Roni is retired from the Effingham County Board of Education where she served as System Testing Coordinator, high school and middle school Instructional Supervisor/Assistant Principal, middle school Counselor, and high school and middle school Math Teacher. She now assists Vision Financial Group with administration, event planning, and business operations.

Talbert has enjoyed several service opportunities in the community and recently served as a board member for the Pregnancy Care Center of Rincon. Prior to being a member of the Pregnancy Care Center board, Talbert served as Chairman of the Mission on the Move Board. He is also a past President and current member of both the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Effingham County. Talbert and Roni have two adult children who both graduated from Effingham County High School. Talbert and Roni are members of Compassion Christian Church - Effingham.
